Boca Respite Volunteers 561-391-7401 Since November of 1998, Boca Respite Volunteers have promoted the dignity and independence of persons of all ages and all conditions throughout the greater Boca Raton area. More than 1,000 individuals and families have received direct support services such as transportation, respite, grocery shopping, friendly visiting, reading mail and socialization activities. Thousands of others have received information, education, referrral and asistance with linkages to agencies to maximize the quality of life and support.

The services are a labor of love delivered free of charge by 1 561-391-7401 40 volunteer caregivers who are carefully screened, oriented and matched with care receivers. Long-time relationships are formed that make a significant difference in life's quality for all - the care receiver, the family and the volunteer. A pilot program began in the 2006-07 school year at Boca Middle School, in Boca Raton, FL. The goal is for youth to be emotionally and physically healthy, receive the education they deserve, remain in school, do their homework, participate in after-school activities and enjoy the many benefits a good education and life affords. Student-caregivers receive in-school counseling, sponsored activities, home/family evaluation visits, linkages to helpful resources including turors, camp, lunch and learns, classes, and respite through volunteers or co-operating agencies. - Our program.
