Volunteering for VHFC

VHFC has a wide variety of ways you can help those in

 need in our community through our Boca Respite and Caregiving Youth programs.

 Your time to can be fully flexible from as little as a couple of hours/month to several hours/day

 You can use your skills, talents and expertise to help a neighbor stay independent

 You can choose to help caregiving youth families, seniors, and/or anyone in the middle!

 You can help with

· events and fund-raising activities,

· outreach to the community or congregations,

· become the VHFC historian and make the  stories of our care receivers and caregivers become alive for others.

·

Call 561-391-7401 and say you want to know more about being a VHFC Volunteer or you can visit  www.boca-respite.org, click on “Volunteering” and then “Volunteer Application”.  We look forward to meeting you.

     Tip of the Day

When you have a doctor's appointment please remember to

 take a list of your medications;

 take a written list of your questions with space to  write the answers (remember all questions may not have answers);

 take time to find ways to say a special thank you to your doctor and others on your care team; and

 develop a good relationship with your doctor—this will help you and the one for whom you are caring.
