Volunteering for VHFC

VHFC has a wide variety of ways you can help those in

 need in our community through our Boca Respite and Caregiving Youth programs.

‚ Your time to can be fully flexible from as little as a couple of hours/month to several hours/day

‚ You can use your skills, talents and expertise to help a neighbor stay independent

‚ You can choose to help caregiving youth families, seniors, and/or anyone in the middle! 

‚ You can help with 

· events and fund-raising activities,

· outreach to the community or congregations,

· become the VHFC historian and make the  stories of our care receivers and caregivers become alive for others.

     Tip of the Day

 

            

When you have a doctor's appointment please remember to

‚ take a list of your medications;

‚ take a written list of your questions with space to  write the answers (remember all questions may not have answers);

‚ take time to find ways to say a special thank you to your doctor and others on your care team; and

‚ develop a good relationship with your doctor—this will help you and the one for whom you are caring.
